Scope of this Policy

StarTracka Pty Ltd (“StarTracka”, “we” or “us”) consider your privacy very important.  This privacy policy (“Policy”) explains our practice and policy with regard to the collection, use and disclosure of personal information that you provide to us, when visiting StarTracka.com (the “Site”).

This Policy is for www.startracka.com, not for the StarTracka SAAS Application which uses a more comprehensive Application Privacy Policy.

Changes to this Policy

We may revise and update this Policy at any time. We will provide notice that changes have been made by posting the revised Policy and updating the revision date at the top of the Policy. We encourage you to review the Policy whenever you visit the Site to make sure that you understand how your personal information is treated.

Personal Information we collect

You can visit StarTracka.com without telling us who you are or revealing any personally identifiable information about yourself.  We do not collect any such information about you when you visit the Site, unless you choose to provide that information to us.

The types of information we may collect includes personal and aggregate data.

“Personal Information” means information that specifically identifies you (such as name, address, email address, phone numbers, institution, position title).  Personal information also includes information you supply about your interest in StarTracka products, merchandise, newsletters, conferences, professional services or any other Personal Information provide by you to us in an online form or through an email.

In addition we may collect information from you that you provide through participation in our support forums, discussions, surveys, StarLabs research, promotions, games, sweepstakes, contests and other activities on the Site.

Use of Personal Information

We may use personal information that you provide to answer your questions, inform you about other information, events, promotions, products or services we think will be of interest to you, to learn more about and improve the Site and for the purpose for which information was provided. For example, we may use the information we collect to:

StarTracka does not sell or rent Personal Information to third parties or share personal information with third parties except as described here in this Policy.  We may share your information with third parties if we have a good faith belief that the disclosure is necessary or appropriate to comply with law or legal process; to protect and defend the rights and property or personal safety of StarTracka, our customers or the public; to prevent and protect StarTracka and our users from fraudulent, abusive, unlawful or unauthorized use of the Site; or to otherwise enforce our rights and agreements. Your personal information also may be disclosed or transferred as part of, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing or acquisition or in any other situation where personal information may be transferred as one of the business assets of StarTracka.

We may use other third parties to provide credit card or payment processing on our site. When you sign up for the purchase of a Service or Product, we will share your credit card information as necessary for the third party to provide that service.

Online Forums and Community

The Site includes certain online communities and other interactive support features, such as user profiles, forums and StarLabs. Please note that information you provide to public areas of the Site is publicly available and may be shared with other Site users. You should always be cautious when giving out personal information to others in public online forums.

Use of Cookies

The Site may use ‘cookies’ to enhance your experience while visiting our site.  A cookie is a piece of data that is transferred to the browsing computer and is used for record keeping purposes such as preferences during your visit to the Site.  You may choose to disable cookies in your browser, however it is possible that some areas of the Site will not function properly when you view them.  Cookie information is treated and used in the aggregate.

The Site is not designed for nor do we knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
